My thanks to Kenneth Grant re: Grant Society Details. I recently received a letter from the Clan Grant Society, c/o Grants of Dalvey, Alness, Ross-shire IV17 OXT. For those of you interested, the following notes:

At this time they are not able to help people of Clan Grant origin with information on family trees. This is something they intend to set up, as they do receive many inquiries. For these types of enquiries, you may write to:

Membership application to Clan Grant Society is open to anyone in the U.K whose parents' or grandparents' name was Grant, or one of the 'sept' names (details on request). 17.50 pounds per family, or an individual per year. You may write for further details for Junior, Associate or Life membership. Upon acceptance you will be sent the latest magazine along with full membership details. Cheques and money orders should be made payable to the Clan Grant Society. Joining the society offers you the opportunity to enjoy clan gatherings, free magazines, invitation to visit the clan centre and opportunities to purchase clan products.
