Click for larger image The Hunter Clan Association was founded in 1970 by the late 29th Laird, Neil Hunter of Hunterston and his eldest son, Charles Hunter of Hunterston, younger.

In 1998 the home branch of the association, was reformed and renamed The Clan Hunter Association UK, by the present Clan Chief and 30th Laird, Madam Pauline Hunter of Hunterston and of That Ilk, with her newly appointed Clan Officer.

The aim of Madam Pauline, is that the Castle should provide a focal point for all Clan members worldwide, by ensuring that Hunterston Castle is preserved for present and future generations of Hunters. The Castle provides the perfect centre for all the Clasfolk. Restoration of the front of the Castle and the creation of a Clan Hunter Genealogy Library will help to strengthen the traditions of the Clan.

Clan Hunter Badge, click for larger image Gatherings (at the moment) are held every three years and are fostering a strong sense of togetherness that makes the Hunters into a very distinctive Clan.

At present we have active associations in: Argentina, Australia, Canada, New Zealand the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Several of which publish newsletters.

Any Clan member may visit Hunterston Castle by arrangement.
