When I learned of the tragedy in Dunblane Scotland, I felt I should do something, so I wrote this song, it was all I could do. I'm sending it to you, in hopes that the song will reach those who it would be meaningfull to.

Thanks,

"The Heart of Dunblane"

(Words & Music Copyright 1996 Gus Giudici)
'Twas a morning like any , a lovely day
'The children were fed , and sent on thier way
'Packed off to school , how could anyone say
'It was a day they'd never forget , in Dunblane

'At the base of the highlands , Dunblane's settled there
'Her people so trusting , with never a care '
'Til a man with a hatred , burried deep in his soul
'Turned the warmth in their hearts , forever to cold

'CHORUS :
'But ohhh , how their eyes shined in the sun
'Ohhh , how their hearts wanted to run
'No one could concive
'How could anyone ever belive
'They'd be gone , oh so young

'The wee ones were playing , in the school gym that day
'Their teachers about them , all smiles and gay
''Til the devil himeslf walked in , with hate in his eyes
'When the killing was done , sixteen of them died

'The mothers came running , in search of their young
'Some of them weeping , some of them numb
'They pleaded to heaven , for their babies take care
'The School Master said , sweet mothers , they're already there

'CHORUS : (repeat)

'Who knows what devil , beset him that day
'What evil drove him , to make him that way
'We'll never to know , and he's never pay
'For he took his own life , that day in Dunblane

'Sweet Melissa Currie , five tender years old
'She and her classmates , they're never alone
'Their teacher Gwenne Mayor , is there by their sides
'To watch over and guide them , for love , never dies

'CHORUS : (repeat)

'Dear mothers and fathers , of the town of Dunblane
'We can't know the horror , we can't know your pain
'But we'll stand by your sides , as you walk down the lane
'On the day they bury, The Heart , of Dunblane

(end song)
